Diego Lugano

Diego Lugano is a Uruguayan footballer, born on the 2nd November 1980, and has represented his country 48 times, scoring 4 goals. He currently plays his football for Turkish side Fenerbahce, after moving in 2006 for £5.25m, having previously spent his playing days in Uruguay and Brazil.
He began his international career in 2003, when he made his debut against Asian outfit Hong Kong and since then he has come on leaps and bounds, by becoming captain of the national side and shining in the 2010 World Cup as he helped Uruguay reach the semi-finals.
Perhaps not getting the recognition he deserves in the real world, in-game, he certainly has all the attributes for a great defender, and although 29 years of age, still has some good years left and would be a perfect tutor for your youngsters. The only thing he lacks is pace, but he could be an ideal Stopper with both Aggression and Bravery of 20, and at an attractive price of around £3m and wages around £44k p/w, he is certainly worth a shot.
