Ass Man feedback –– it's on the match screen. Check what he says (pre-match, half-time and full-time) and then setup your tactics and opposition instructions based on that. You need a good AM for this though, so if he's not great, his feedback might not be specific or completely useful.
Anchor Man -–– make sure the guy you put in has the right attributes. You don't want to be assigning duties and roles that players aren't suited to.
Pre-match changes –– you should consider adjusting your starting strategy per game. The options in the team instructions tell you what they're for, so do some pre-match scouting (check the match-odds, pitch type, etc.) and then take if from there.
Passing Style ––– the weather also factors into passing style. I'm doing a post on it in a bit, so I'll cover it there, but you need to think about the pitch condition when the ball is running along the surface or how things like long balls would work in the wind.
Ass Man ––– he mightn't be very good at his job. I'd not have him doing much for you. It doesn't take long to do the opposition instructions or team-talks, so you should do these things yourself. It might be the key to turning things around.
