This team is on crack. Seriously. Played one game, won 9-0. (Yeah, 9-0) Ryazantsev, (who is an AMR!) scored five goals. Now I just played KamAZ, who are in the same division as us. They score two in first 10 mins. I put closing down on and back down the line a bit. In a minute, we got two goals. Then one of their players got sent off and by half-time we were 6-2 up. It finished 7-2.

If we can get our backline sorted, we will rip this division apart.

Currently trying to figure out how to create a decent partnership up front between Nugent and either Anichebe or Kitson.

I've tried the advanced forward-deep lying forward pairing, but the DLF just wasn't performing. I then tried two advanced forwards, with one roaming and moving into channels and the other slightly less attacking and staying central. Once again the roaming AF did well and the other did shite.

Trying to play them with both the same instructions to see what happens. Problem is that all three are pretty similar players, so no obvious combination stands out.

I'd certainly not be complaining if my team were playing like that!

Target Man/Poacher both attack.

Player with most pace as the Poacher. SORTED.

You would be however if your whole team was consisted of foreign players except of five (one of which is a under-22 GK) and you would have to use exactly those five players because the "6 foreigners" cap. Moreover, you can't sub those five because if you do, the cap is broken!

Seriously, what the hell is going on with FM? It can't even keep its rules?!

None of them are that quick and none of them stand out as being a target man. Just three decent, all-round strikers.

I currently enjoy switching clubs every 2 years. Started unemployed with International Footballer experience (i'm a n00b) and try to win all major 5 leagues and everything else from them. Started in England but got bored, then took Inter, won Seria in 2 seasons. Lost Italian Cup Final on penalties shoot-out (I always loose shoot-outs, I've won like 2 in 20 in FM 2011, and that's because the other ones miss 3 or 4).

Now I've just taken a job at Dortmund. My possesion based tactic is out the drain, have poor passing al around (besides Sahin I have no other good passers) so I guess I have to reinvent myself.

Yeah...already tried that. Basically all they're good for is being an advanced forward or a deep lying forward. They don't play well in the deep lying forward role, while having two advanced forwards doesn't seem to work either.

I think I'm gonna have to accept that Nugent is the only good striker in the squad and that the rest are shite.

Then go 4-3-2-1, 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 and pump balls to him all day long. Don't you have Kanu? Legend Posted Image

For me, the main thing in this latest patch is Composure and Decisions in forwards. Finishing is obviously a requirement, but lowly composed forwards are beyond shite.

As Muzzy said, maybe have one up top instead of two. I play 433/451 and it works well for me (most of the time).

As I mentioned in my story, I've created a 4-2-3-1 tactic which I'm in the process of using. I really want to get two up top working well as it did earlier in the season, but the 4-2-3-1 is getting used more and more at the moment. Seems to be doing the job, although it's still early days.

There's still hope for Anichebe so I'll persevere with him and Nugent up top as advanced forwards.

Kanu, Kitson and Webber all fucking suck. I'm retraining Kanu to AMC to serve as back-up for Ramsey until the end of the season, which is when I try my hardest to unload the lanky cunt.

2021 with Carlisle. Won the league in 2019, and finished in the top four both seasons since. Ahmed Khalil is a forty goal a season man in all comps every season. What a player. <3

You have made me miss my Carlisle game so so much

I peaked far to soon on FM this year, have a game going with a made up team only playing homegrown players, but getting bit bored of it.... may try the lower divisions if i can get some motivation for it.

Didn't take me long to get offered the Juventus job and now I'm redeveloping this squad to win the Champions League, resign, rinse and repeat.

I joke, I joke.

Well, I don't, I'm not cheating, truth be told, I'm hardly playing.

Finding myself a bit distracted from FM, my machine is shit so the game takes too long to interest me, and I have other things going on, so I haven't really put much of a game together :(

I miss my Man Utd game from FM10

Started with Motherwell I had an amazing win run of 8 straight wins SPL + EL, right now I am pissed Celtic beat me 1-0 after a match I was better than them, Celtic scoring in the 87th minute after a long shot

Doesn't matter. Just play the quicker one as the poacher and it'll still work a treat.

------

Quick update on my Arsenal save; Top of the league by 9 points from Chelsea after 22 matches with 1 game in hand. 18 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Finished top of my Champions League group on head to head matches against Sampdoria. I've been drawn against CFR Cluj, with the first leg away from home.

Played the first leg of the Carling Cup semi final, which was away to Bristol City. I put out a weaker side and it didn't work out, losing 3-2. Undecided whether to stick with that team at the Emirates or put out my strongest side to ensure we reach the final...

Drew 1-1 against Southend in the FA Cup with a weaker side, we go to Roots Hall soon where I'll put out the same side. Could be risky.

Koscielny got in World Team of the Year and was Defender of the Year. \o/ Walcott, Vermaelen and Wilshere are all still impressing.

I signed Philippe Mexes, Ibrahim Afellay, Aleksandar Dragovic and Thiago who were all out of contract and they'll join at the end of the season. Looking for a GK, Lloris and Hart are way too expensive, Akinfeev is a decent price but not as good as I'm wanting. Any ideas?

My save is getting quite boring as I win almost everything possible. The title is easy because I have the best team by far, although Ajax is really strengthening themselves with some very good players. I'm now in season 2022/23, Holland is totally dominating the international scene (What do you expect, 7 players are mine and top players), they now somehow have one of the best defenses in the world, as well as their midfield and attack being world class. Holland have won the world cup two times in a row now, in 2018 and 2022, but didn't manage to win the European Championships in 2020 as they lost in the second round to Russia. The later winner being, very very surprisingly, Switzerland...

There were some very surprising teams in the World Cup as well, with USA, Senegal, Holland and Uruguay in the Semi's in 2018, USA won against Uruguay and Holland beat Senegal fairly easy. USA somehow managed to get to the final (How the hell did that happen!?) only to crash and burn against the Dutch in a 5-0 loss. In 2022 again surprising teams were there, Austria, Holland, Argentina and South Korea. Holland won the final against Argentina, after penalties.

Holland did win the EC in 2012, beating Italy there with 4-1.

Very strange results on the international scene at times, anybody experience something like this as well?
