Does FMfb hate everyone that uses I.E?

It's all blocky, looks weird, the fast reply box doesnt show, there's outlines around certain things and some links don't work.

I normally use Firefox but it just closes of its own accord every few minutes, so I have to resort to I.E for awhile.

Yes, 100%.

I skinned with Sercan, so I know the travesty you're describing, but it's IE's own fault; it's shite. Rounding doesn't work in the browser because Microsoft are utter cunts who ignore what Mozilla, Apple and Google have in place, and clearly IPB doesn't like them either if things like the Fast Reply box don't work.

I know Putzy is working on an upgrade (because IPB keep changing their software to the point where things don't work properly (this is why downloads stopped working a few months ago)), so I presume it will be rectified when he gets around to sorting the issues with the upgrade out.

For now just use Chrome if it's pissing you off, there's nothing that can be done about it until the upgrade is sorted (and from what I'm told, it's a while away due to all the shit that will break if the site gets upgraded without other things being done first).

If we're lucky enough, IE 9 could be decent.

Still, Firefox, Chrome or any other browser owns IE. Especially IE6. It is just a pile of poo.

I dunno why Microsoft don't just give up and support Chrome or Firefox as Windows' default browser. IE is so fucking tragic it makes Microsoft look like they're computing n00bs.

Because Bill Gates is too busy dangling wads of cash in front of his kids then giving it to charity and saying "Oooh you don't need that much."

I'm trying to better myself alright.

To be fair, I had Firefox, gave up on it today.

All of the leading browsers should support HTML 5 soon or now, Firefox ver 3 onwards I think, so hopefully browsing should be seemless. Site support should be quick for adoption.

Yeah... thanks for that bump.

I recently updated the site so that it works correctly in Internet Explorer 9. This means that this site works in Firefox 3+, Safari 3+, Chrome 3+, and Internet Explorer 8+ perfectly. Internet Explorer 6 and 7 also work, but it may not look pretty.

Brilliant actually. I prefer it to Safari and Firefox on Windows. The way I see it:

Chrome -> IE9 -> Firefox -> Safari

Spreading crap once again. IE9 is the second (the first if you take hardware acceleration into account) best browser on Windows. Period.

IE has been absolute garbage for years though, so you can't blame people for not wanting to touch it.

I'm using Safari at the moment (which for me is okay apart from one bug), but I'm also using Chrome as well at times. The new Firefox is shit though, I really don't like that; IE I just wouldn't get again tbh.

Sorry Putzy, meant sites in general and not a slight. Guess with IE, lazy people like me are partly responsible for the lacklustre browser. It maybe crap and maybe I'll try Chrome, but for me it just works.
