Introduction
So, it’s got to that time of year where most of us have had our best games on the latest Football Manager edition, and have run out of games to play – or more specifically games that you can turn into long term saves. Many of us want to play the game, and need a little spark to get a game going again - This is where FMFb’s latest idea comes in, are you ready for a little Capital Punishment?
What is it?
The aim of the challenge is simple, you select a few countries around the world and win the domestic league title and the respective continental Champions League as a team that is based in the capital city of that country. The only rule that you can not manage a club that is based outside of the country's capital at any point!
For example, you may select England as one of your countries; this would mean that you could only managed clubs based in London (Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, etc.). As one of these clubs you’d aim to win the Premier League title as well as the UEFA Champions League, and then once that’s done you’d move onto the next country, find a club in it's capital city and try again.
Why take up the challenge?
Well, there isn’t anything I can say to make you try the challenge but I’m quite sure this is something that you’ll all enjoy. You select the countries so you can make it as easy or as hard as you want for yourself, or even a mixture! Plus, it’s a great way for you to get involved with ChallengeFM here at FM Fanboys because by loading up certain leagues you can help to bag yourself some points as you take on the challenge.
Where to start?
This is down to you; it’s a completely open challenge. I personally would suggest selecting 8 countries, but of course, you can select as many as you want! It’s then your choice as to how difficult you want to make the challenge for yourself. You could select top countries with high reputation or you could opt for little lesser known countries and aim to turn their league into a continental powerhouse! I'd recommend selecting a nation which has a few clubs based in it's capital city though, to give you a variety. Here’s a few countries if you're stuck for ideas:
England (London): AFC Wimbledon, Arsenal, Barnet, Brentford, Bromley, Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Hampton & Richmond, Hayes & Yeading, Leyton Orient, Milwall, QPR, Tottenham, West Ham.
Spain (Madrid): Atletico Madrid, Getafe, Real Madrid, Rayo Vallecano.
Italy (Rome): AS Roma, Atletico Roma, SS Lazio.
Russia (Moscow): CSKA Moscow, Dinamo Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow, Spartak Moscow.
Portugal (Lisbon): Belenenses, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon.

As you can see, it's incredibly open; these are only a few of my suggestions –– after all, who is to say you wouldn't want to manage in Ukraine, Holland or even Iceland!? It's down to you, so pick your countries, set yourself a challenge and then give it a go. Who knows, it could be your best save on FM11!
