Yeah, I have to admit that I found that amusing.

I did try to sort it, however Rob doesn't trust anyone on the Susie staff team to do anything but edit members or the forum, so even with admin permissions I couldn't resolve the issue. So, Susie is fucked until he comes back and fixes the database, which appears to have been corrupted by whoever he chose to look after the site whilst he was away –– also ironic.

There is one good thing that happened as a result of the Susie server going down the other day...

I've finally managed to make a full SQL backup of Los Wonderkids because a server reboot gave me back my MySQL permissions. Oh yeah.

I've been trying to do a full backup for about 6 months and been unable to because of a SQL error with permissions. It needed a reboot, but (1) never got around to telling Rob (2) Rob never rebooted anyway. When Susie came back (although still broken), I thought I'd give it a go, and it worked finally.

Anyway - it looks like the Susie IPB 'posts' table has crashed. Should be a simple case of running:

REPAIR TABLE ibf_topics;
REPAIR TABLE ibf_posts;

But I dunno... if no one has SQL access, then it doesn't help.

No-one has SQL access, that was the first thing I looked for. All they can do is manage members and forums pretty much. There's no access to the system settings
