Thinking I may be around for a little bit again seeing as I've got access to a decent laptop now that runs the game at a decent speed.
If you remember me then kudos, if not then it's your loss!

The inter-rail trip around Europe is something I still need to do.
The one thing that has put me off it so far is that I much prefer Asia/America to Europe.
I reckon it twill be done in 2013 or 2014 for me during the summer as I plan on being in University and just use the holidays for that purpose.
What countries / cities are you planning on heading to?

I'll probably be going university next year and I wanna spend 2-3 weeks of my summer travelling before that. I'm thinking Vienna, Bratislava, Krakow, Prague, Budapest and possibly Berlin with some smaller towns in between if I get time. Seems do-able. Couchsurfing or hostels?

Hostelworld.com is the best place to use for hostels and smaller private apartments.
I, personally, wouldn't do the couch surfing thing as it could be risky although one of my friends done it and said it was fine.
Only one of the cities you mentioned which I have been to is Bratislava which is awesome and dirt cheap. Make sure you try local drinks, some of them are outstanding in particular in Slovakia, drink Gambrinus.
I managed to get a private apartment overlooking the Presidential Palace there for £20 a night on Hostelworld

Yeah I'll probably go down the hostel route too.I'll make sure I do! That sounds awesome
Do you find it easy to meet people on your travels? Any real safety issues that spring to mind for the places I'm visiting, or just for travelling alone in general?
