At 10:30pm (London time) on Friday night the server will go offline for an OS upgrade. We are upgrading from a 32bit operating system to a 64bit operating system. This will allow us to take full advantage of the 16GB of RAM inside the server.

Expected downtime is about 3-4 hours.

Probably a stupid question I know...but when it comes to internet servers I get lost.

Not necessarily faster, but it'll make it more stable when under load.
