I've decided to end my Football Manager 2011 career and begin my 2012 one, once again i'll be starting out with my local team St Johnstone. Who play in the Scottish Premier League. The squad has improved from last seasons game, but the expectations are now larger..... I managed to guide them to multiple league cups, a Scottish Cup and a SPL trophy before moving to Corinthians, i hope i can do similar.... (although considering how my Corinthians career ended i may just stay with Saints this time  )

So here's a few key players

Francisco Sandaza - Forward - Quality striker, offered him a contract extension thanks to some glorious pre-season displays, could become a hero...

Posted Image

Murray Davidson - Central Midfielder - Great ball winning midfielder, expect to keep him for a season or two at most before he's poached but he will be vital to my short term plans

Posted Image

Jody Morris - Central Midfielder - Hugely experienced midfielder, my on field general and Captain, cracking wee player

Posted Image

And my first signing..... Adnan Barakat - Left Midfielder - Free transfer, and could be a useful player. Dearth of wing players forced my hand a bit...

Posted Image

And the best result so far

Imma wait until SI before I start my story.

Good luck with St Johnstone, always like to see them doing well. They have a good squad this year and hopefully Sheridan and Sandaza can strike up a real partnership and fire you up the table.

I'll keep tabs on this mate.

So far Sandaza has gotten injured early on, but Sheridan has been on fire :D

First season over and done with!

Finished a respectable 9th, after the split we came into form and never looked in relegation danger, happy enough with the season...

Posted Image

This was my official team of the year, which i actually agree with for once :w00t:

Posted Image

And my player of the season, a young forward who due to Sheridans loan ending, and Sandaza's poor form, got his chance and performed brilliantly..

I would love a top six finish, but sold a few in the Summer and didn't have the funds to get as good replacements as i expected. So I'd like a top 6/ top 8 finish but i expect another finish in the lower quarter of the league. Going to be slow progress I'm afraid

Apologies for lack of updates, been engrossed in yet another relegation battle, this year i took a risk. With the likes of Peter Enckleman, Jody Morris, Calum Davidson and David McCracken all deteriorating into poor players, and Adnan Barakat not signing a new contract, i had a choice. Lack of funds meant i either had to loan players, or bring up some youth players. I took the 2nd option, for the majority of the season ive had 4 players in my first 11 that have come through the youth system, and in total ive had 8 under 21's in my starting 16. Lack of experience is an understatement

Here's my signings for the entire season...

Unfortunately, my emphasis on youth has led to a proper "squeaky bum time" situation. Think my last game might be mostly spent looking at the Latest Results screen

I lost 2-1 to Dunfermline. But Hamilton conceded two goals in the last 5 minutes and went down, was watching the Latest scores knowing i had to hope Hamilton lost. But couldnt see the score as i kept conceded corners and it was showing me them instead of the latest scores, very nervous.

think there will be overhaul this Summer, can't go through this again

:w00t: He's doing reasonably well, Jelavic and Naismith are still the first choice forwards surprisingly

Only guaranteed my safety in the 37th week of games, team bonded really well near the end but that's always the way. Poor all season but when it matters we fight through. Don't know where to go from here with expected financial cuts ahead...
