Club Recognition

Few players were involved at the Awards ceremony. Lukas Jutkiewicz won the Top Goalscorer award and was included in the Team of the Year sadly it looks to be his last acts at St Johnstone....

Just signed a 33 year old Alberto Aquilani as back up, think it's a good deal as he's on £1,300 a week!

Season 2017/ 2018 Transfers

Two major outgoings this season, neither of which i accepted but my chairman did. Pleased with a million pounds for Okafor considering i signed him for about £60k. Hammar i was less pleased about, he was my Captain and was playing immensely, being outside the Scottish Transfer window and having fought off 5 clubs in that window i though i could get almost double what i ended up getting, but hey ho

Incomings

Haluk Temel - Signed purely as back up, done well when called upon but will be let go in the Summer

Posted Image

Paulo Batista - Signed as a replacement for Okafor and has done a fine job, looks a prospect and can hopefully keep him a few years

Posted Image

Ryan Lundie - signed as a utility player, and has done well. Future will be reconsidered in the Summer aswell

Posted Image

Paul Saka - Youngster i wanted a look at and has done reasonably well for my youth team, still considering his future too

Posted Image

Eduardo Gonalvez - Young striker who looks to have (very) raw potential, may loan him out next year to improve those mental attributes

Posted Image

Joe McKee - Midfielder i gambled on, and it's paid off! Now starts and has hit a few spectacular and important goals this season

Posted Image

Alberto Aquilani - Experienced midfielder i signed to help youngsters, definitely leaving in the Summer but thankful for his service

Posted Image

Leigh Griffiths - Needed a striker who will punish defences so turned to Leigh, not really done it so far but i have faith

Posted Image

Cathal Collins - signed purely as back up, looking to loan him out next year

Posted Image

Gregory Fournier - record signing, been injured but now broke into the starting line up and doing well so far

Posted Image

Arnold Williams - Seen such a low fee and couldn't resist, brilliant squad player i think

The split is a bastard. Hate it when you have more points than the team above you.

He's massive on the 3D pitch! trying to get him more mobile but as a battering ram he's immense

The comment about Rangers will make more sense after this post! Made the top 6 quite easy and poor form cost me a higher finish, hoping to push on next year and finish even higher

As i said i finished 2nd last year and qualified for the Champions League qualifiers, as a Scottish team i have to go through two rounds before i get into the group stage, as this is my first European adventure and i was drawn against Sporting Lisbon i didn't expect much....

Posted Image

Jim Baird's homegrown which made it sweeter. Knew the 2nd leg would be tough as the red card had helped us...

Posted Image

Was nervous after their good start but after the Half time team talk we turned it around and once we scored i knew we were through

The next round (and final round before the group stages) faced me against Fiorentina, again my expectations were low...

Couldn't believe the turn around! Again my half time team talk seemed to have worked wonders!

And this is the hero so far..

Cheers! Currently in 2021 and still have Jim Baird in my ranks. Sadly he's not really progressed as his performances suggested he might

Apologies for anyone following this. I didn't play it for a while then had problems loading the game. Had the week off work so got it working and get too engrossed in it. Currently in the opening months of 2021/ 2022 and thing shave gone fairly well. In the Champions League i finished bottom of a group involving Tottenham, Werder Bremen and Feyenoord. Beating Tottenham at White Hart Lane was a highlight. Sadly we finished outside the European places through the SPL so didn't qualify.for the 2020/ 2021 season although i won the League Cup (St Johnstone's first ever major Domestic trophy) and lost in the Final of the Scottish Cup.

In 2020/ 2021 I decided to change the teams philosophy, I'd been playing a narrow 4-1-2-1-2 or a Diamond midfield to great effect as my cup victory showed. But I started signing players and playing pre-season games with a 4-4-2 with Wingers. My form throughout the season was patchy, no doubt due to my constant tinkering trying to perfect the formation for my team and we finished 4th. But we did manage to retain the League Cup, and then we also won the Scottish Cup for the first time in our history!

For 2021/ 2022 we are back in the Europa League, but due to a massive loss of £6 million last year due to facilities being upgraded we had to cut costs so I'll be relying on youngsters fulfilling their potential this season. But I'm hoping for European Qualification, another good cup run and to earn as much money from the europa League as possible
