OK guys, I have started a game in FM12 as Monaco. You would think they would be able to get some wins. I hated FM11 because of all the tactic and training detail required. I dont want this. I like the look of the game, but I just want a tactic that I can use without all the fiddling around that I dont have time/patience/desire for. Any ideas?

Is it just the tactic you need, you never had a issue with this before.

Before I was able to use my classic diamond tactic and be able to tweak it slightly to get results with later versions of the game. That isnt possible in this version. Its too involved. Perhaps my FM days are over. I would start a new career story, but itd be with FM10 which was the last version of the game I was able to play with confidence.

I find that if you CBA to be a tactical mastermind then you have to set the Match Prep to the highest setting.

Hmm, I think I have it on that already, but I will check. Any match time tips would be greatly appreciated though

Been playing again tonight, zero wins from anything Ive tried. Its just boring now for me with it being far too intricate. Time to close the FM doors I think.

What? Once your tactic familiarity levels are 100% there is no point what so ever setting the work load to anything other than very low.

That's what we're told but whenever I start dropping the match prep, we start playing shit.

Dale, go simple, 4-4-2; Defence as normal (pick player roles to suit) 2 wingers, a ball wining midfielder and an attacking midfielder, deep lying forward and an advanced forward. Always gets me out of trouble when my tactics aren't working.

What formations did your assistant say were best suited for your team out of interest?

and finally, don't give up on FM, it would never give up on you :p

Assistant hasnt told me anything like that as far as I can tell. See this is what I mean. Its all about looking into little holes to find information and I just dont have the patience for it. Far too involved.
