I debated editing him to make him young again but I've opted against it for now. Truth be told after this little return is finished I could easily take ten year off BIGUN and do it again, or replicate my whole FM10 Malaga setup in FM12 and play like that.

The options are limitless. If I can't commit to playing FM12 the way I want to play it then I'll commit to playing FM10 the way I like to play it.

So what are we doing? We're here to see BIGUN off into the sunset. He's about to turn 32 and his legs will begin to go. Fuck knows if he still has 'it'. I used to fret so much over him having a poor season, getting a terrible injury or beginning to go on the slide.

Sustainable and Nationalistic Management are back in business as well. We're coming off the back of Malaga's first Champions League win and a season that saw BIGUN hit 22 in 26 league games and two goals in the Champions League final.

I've been back five minutes and I tell you what things are sleeker. Nowhere near as much fannying on as in FM12. Especially with tactics. FM10 is a hell of a lot less cluttered.

I still remember every player in the squad bar my third choice GK and I even remember some of the staff members. We have 16m in the bank, are due to move into a new 55k stadium next summer and now I remember the restrictions of Sustainable Management. When you're a big club its nigh on impossible to sign the best players and still break even without selling your best players.

Will try and stick to it but it will be tough. Especially when I can only remember ever producing one decent regen at the academy \o/

I actually have my own training schedules on this game /o\ My days, this was when I actually showed an interest and wasn't just coasting through my FM careers.

Loving the scouting setup too, 16 scouts covering Spain and Europe scouting only for Spanish players. Every single player bar BIGUN is also being retrained to a new position. Good times.

Gonna spend a bit more time just pottering on and getting used to my surroundings again. No idea where to start with the squad. Have some decent youngsters who I've picked up down the years who could be promoted, meaning I could sell a few first team players to raise room to move in the transfer market.

Saying all that mind I don't really need to enter the transfer market. Might just be worth picking up more youngsters this summer.

Can't believe how many of my big players are wanted, near enough my whole starting eleven is wanted by the Barcelona's, Real Madrid's, Juventus', etc

Gonna tie a few down to new contracts just to kill some interest.

I used to take so much pride in this. I took even more pride when my players would get their first international call up and cap. Didn't matter whether I was at Ajax or fucking PBDKT. When players I had bought or brought up got a call up it would bring a tear to my eye. THE JOYS OF NATIONALISTIC MANAGEMENT.

If I were you I'd wait until FM13, give yourself a break and then attack FM13 as it will seem fresh and new.

FM12 is far too much like FM11 for me.

I miss FM08 and FM10 they were excellent games.

But this year has provided me with one of the best saves I've had in years.

Skacel, good to see this back, I remember The Bigun. Can you not just edit someone in your youth team, when Bigun retires, to have exactly the same CA/PA? Then just nurture the little bitch. BIGUN JR.

Then when he retires, we can all have a "Who shot JR" fest.

Game has crashed four times before Spain's second World Cup game but for whatever reason its managed to holiday past the date at the third attempt of holidaying. Saved the fucker and re-embarking.

Put the autosave on every month but if I get another crash I'll make it weekly. Determined to get atleast some playtime out of this save.

And Jackk, I like that BIGUN idea. Could be one to play with. Mind you I still don't know his CA/PA and I like that mystery. I know its not all that because he's never really won any major individual awards, the big clubs have never really shown much interest in him and he's not in Spain's top six players.

He has a sensational fucking record though.

Just make sure you check it before he retires, or upload your game and let someone with FMRTE do it.

EDIT: Unless he's not a regen? And it can be done by someone in the editor?

40m in the bank now because of that and sponsors. Hoping for a decent transfer budget, even if I don't dip into the market it does no harm knowing that there's money available.

Potential heir to the throne. Biggest worries are his Passing (to BIGUNs 12) and Teamwork (to BIGUNs 14). The lads nearly reached his full potential so he doesn't have much room to grow. When BIGUN goes I want the transition to be seamless, hence the comparing of stats. Mind you, losing a striker who can hit fifty a season without breaking a sweat ain't ever gonna be seamless.

Been given 64m to burn but only have 40m in the bank so it all won't be burnt. Can't see any first teamers being signed so it looks like all my signings will be youngins. Got the scouts a scouting and now we wait.
