I'm St Johnstone. And after 5 years im still battling relegation and trying to break into the top 6. What keeps me interested is the constant battle against finances, my wage budget gets dropped every season and i don't think i've ever had a transfer budget outwith the first Summer. The fact you have to include 3 under 21's means i have to bring through decent youngsters, and blooding them and watching them develop season by season keeps me going. Especially since the majority are locally born

Finances used to engross me so fucking much, but I grew bored of always battling against finances when there was no real need. If you get in red the board would always bail you out, maybe not back into the black but they'd always inject some cash.

Finances, youth and scouting. In my long careers I've kind of evolved my approach to all three and that's kept those careers going. Looking for ways to improve my approach to them things.

I prefer short term goals. I used to stay with teams fro long periods, build stuff and shit but now I have no patience nor time. My best games now are where I manage 3-4 teams in the span of 5-6 years. I once won the Bundisliga in my first season with HSV and moved on straight after, that and the south african second division's title . Although that's about it since I adopted my new approach, no trophies but loads of fun. Now with Roda in Holland, my second and last season there.

Realism. i want to start thinking like a real manager and that has changed my approach.

But I definitely want to get into the 'impossible task' of winning all the CLs with shit leagues, except Oceania as it's a cunt. Would be well hard for me because I've never won a CL on FM10.

I just enjoy taking a fallen club and rebuilding them, slowly progressing and living within our means. Currently doing that with Fortaleza in Brazil, start off in the Serie C. First season is relatively easy, as the squad is waay too good for Serie C, but then it gets very hard. I took a few loans from Brasilerao clubs, notable ones being Matheus Carvallho(ST/AML) from Fluminense, and Juninho(MC/DMC) from Sao Paolo, Diogo(DMC/MR), Pinga(AML), Lenny(ST), Jorbison(DL) on frees, and the star of my team, Joel Benitez(DC) for a mere 3.5k.

I think this is the first save that has kept my loading it since FM09. I knocked Paranaense out of the cup, won the Campeonato Cearaense in my first season, which was a major sign of progression. Once we get into Serie A, I will go the way of youth, and probably sign those 'returning heroes', you know, the 30-odd year old former international, who is finished in Europe.

First game i play on FM12 is with Spurs, aiming to dominate everything within 5 seasons. And yes, i did success (apart from becoming the richest club).

Currently starting new game with Nottm Forest. My aim is to be top 4 in the league within 5 seasons, and dominating England and Europe by the end of following 5 seasons. Currently on 4th season, in Champ League for the first time (last season finishing 4th in BPL). Gaining momentum now..

My main aim with Everton is to secure the finances, play good attacking football and win something. Did well in my first season after signing Donovan and Dos Santos, I finished 4th and won the cup. Extremely pleasing, and had agreed to sign vertoghnen and shawcross in the summer to replace distin and backup jagielka. Fortunately I got a takeover in april (if only irl) and ended up buying aguero, hazard, cavani and ivan piris. Bought neymar in january for £77m inc clauses. Ended up winning the lot (prem, fa cup, champions league and league cup) scoring over 140 goals (cavani chipped in with 49 in 53 games playing RAM as winger). Needless to say, goal achieved, so now I want to focus on youth development and build a future of immense success, as fergie once said "knock liverpool off their fucking perch" I want to do that to utd. And by only signing 1 player max for the first team each season.

Similar to the OP.

I've got Short-Term, Medium Term and Long Term Goals.

Short Term:
Win a competition
Cut squad size
Expand the stadium

Medium Term:
Compete better with City for the League
Retain Champions League qualification annually
Bring the club balance back up to over £50m (was £120m-ish when I started)
Bring youngsters through from youth team to first-team

Long Term:
Regularly compete in Europe
Clear the club debts

When I get bored of my everton save, I think I may also attempt to bring to glory days back to one of the teams that have a nice history and tradition ie preston, nottingham forest etc

Establishing Huddersfield as a mid-table Premier League side.
Winning a domestic trophy.
Getting into Europe.

Whilst doing all this hoping the reputation of the club rises and being able to bring in better quality of players.

The legacy I want to have at everton is a team that can win everything, but are all home grown-formed at club. That would be amazing

Currently interested in my game because so many of my players are players I've put faith in from the beginning. Playing as Sochaux on FM11, and I've kept the majority of the side together because they're young and French.

GK: Kameni/Cros

RB: Corchia/Faty
CB: Brechet/El Kaoutari/Perquis
LB: Mikari/Rousillion

CDM: Toulalan/Poujol/Anin
CM: Martin/Noqueira/Schneiderlein
RAM: Boudebouz/Serdar Gurler
LAM: El Ghanassay/Tulasne

ST: Bakambu/Brown/Maiga/Anelka

Am half-way through the third season, bold players have been with me since day 1 (or in Rousillon's case came through the youth set-up.)

4* according to my Ass Man. Good all round, don't think any of his important stats are below 12/13, though he's not dominant in the air. Arsenal and Real Madrid have been showing 'Major Interest' repeatedly, but my £12m valuation scares anyone off making a bid. Similar situation with Bakambu and Martin.
