Slightly surprised to be offered a job in the Argentine Second Division, but I'll take it. They came 16th in the Opening Stage and I join before the Closing Stage has begun. Again, I'm going to wait until the end of the season before I make any transfers, although my new staff will join throughout the season.

Made some transfers in January, four frees and a loan:

Sent by my parent club Huracan, he'll be backup for now but looks like one who will be amazing in the future.

Signed after I accidentally released my backup striker, another one who could make it to the top.

Backup and a decent prospect.

See above.

Starting LB until the summer, but may switch to RB when the summer transfers are done.

This is interesting, it gives me a lot of hope for next season, but we were never really close enough to Platense to challenge for the title. This means that we came 8th overall, and I think that means we missed out on the promotion playoffs by one place. That unbeaten run of 13 games from the defeat to Argentinos was the biggest in the club's history.
Arevalo and Villar were immense up front, so that position will need the fewest signings in the summer. I've already set up a number of transfers, especially in defence. A lot of players will be leaving, already there have been transfers arranged for Silva, Zarate, Barraza, de Anda and Miranda, and the likes of Asad and Jaime could also leave. I'll also try to get Canario back, he had a good run.
Finally, I am thinking about changing my flat 4-4-2 to a variation of 4-4-2 that would have a midfield like this:
DMC
MC MC
AMR
or:
DMC
MR MC
AMC
There is a lack of good MLs and we have a lot of good central midfielders, so this just makes sense.

The potential formation isn't as lop-sided as it seems in that post, in formation A, the DMC will be further left, so the LB has some protection. In formation 2, the AMC and DMC are further left as well.
Whichever LB I use should be good enough anyway, either Paredes or my new LB Luizinho can do a good job.

We've had a busy summer, with 18 players in:

And 22 out:

Starting AMC, the fans didn't want him but I think he will be important. We'll see how much of a waste he is at the end of the season.

Backup MC.

Starting GK, even though Arce was good last season, this guy has that extra quality that we will need if we want to get promoted.

Backup MR.

Backup at MR and AMC.

Brought in to be my starting LB, but Paredes has played well so Luizinho hasn't played much.

Backup at DMC, MC and MR and has the potential to go far.

Backup ST.

Backup at DMC and MC, but will be pushing for a starting place, as will Raponi.

Backup ST.

Starting DC.

Backup ST.

Backup DC, DMC and MC.

Starting DC.

All signed on frees and will be sold at the end of the season, hopefully for a profit.
Also got this guy coming in soon for £100k:

He has massive potential but he won't get many games for a couple of years, but he's an exciting prospect to have.

We were immense, even though we almost bottled it in the last two games, but Platense also slipped up and we guaranteed a position in the promotion playoff at the end of the season.
For all the signings I made, the best two players were already at the club when I joined. Torres got 10 assists but my 'hombre' was Villar, who banged in 16 goals.
The Closing Stage doesn't matter much now, but it'll be important to have momentum going into the playoffs.

Maybe the Closing Stage is important, if we win it, we will definitely avoid the stress of the playoffs, so that is the target.
My January transfers have also been completed, with three in and two out:

Brought in on a free, one for the future.

See above.

Cost me £550k, for now he will be in the reserves but I have big hopes for this guy.
And the outs:

Gabrich was unhappy about a lack of playing time and he wasn't needed so I got my money back for him and Bagayoko hadn't made an appearance all season and I couldn't turn down a £1.6 million profit. I still think that he'll become a very good player but he wasn't needed.

Right then, the Closing Stage:

I'm not sure if the rest of the competition stepped up their game or we got complacent, but either way we pulled through in the end and, in winning both stages, avoided the possible anguish of the playoffs. The biggest goal we scored was the equaliser against Banfield, Villar scored a stunner in the last minute to get a massive point, even though it was offside, it was a beauty.

It's obvious that Arevalo and Villar were our best players, but Torres grabbed a hatful of assists and was also a revelation. As a result, there won't be as much activity in the transfer window as there was this season, but players like Arce and Luizinho will be leaving, and they might be joined by Nunez and Goicoechea. As for the ins, a backup CB and a backup GK are musts and any other players will be either adding quality or good prospects. Depending on what is available, I might sign another GK or Yepes might step up.
And as for the 'waste of money'...

I'll let you decide whether he was worth the £150k I paid.
