Well this is my take on what was originally Ali's idea but Jackk and a few others have joined in with. I have started with Cameroon as you could guess by the title.

As you can see I am also adapting the tactics without playing a striker. Luckily, key player Eto'o is accomplised on the LW so I can take some effect of him cutting in. We also have an Abundance of Quality CDMs and CBs which is why I am playing with 2 CDMs as opposed to 1.

First fixture will be a Friendly against Mauritania, then we have an ACON qualifier against Dr Congo. We are currently top of our group after 5 games so I get to play the last game which should result in us qualifying. Senegal and Mauritius are the other nations in the group

Good luck mate! I think that I am the only one who actually took the team with the least chances of succeeding!

Cheers Chok!

The only reason I went with Cameroon is because when you are playing a formation which is quite unusual I feel like you have to know the players and seeming as Nigeria and Ivory Coast had already been used I thought I would go Cameroon.

Organised a few more friendlies to get this team used to my formation. Will post them up soon.

Fair enough, I was joking though, I don't really care what team you choose as long as this is a good, long story :p

Its not the Ali challenge at all.

The benchmark you set is so low, its not challenging.

Whereas I purposely remove 1 CM from my sqaud every game and still got third at the ACoN

Right sorry about that, haven't been on the computer all weekend. Organised a few more friendlies to get my team used to this formation.

As you can see, not the best results. I might switch Eto'o into the middle and see how he copes there. Either that or just tweak his individual player instructions as he is no where near effecting the game as much as he should be. Next game is away to Dr Congo which is my last qualifying game of the ACON which I have already qualifed for so might just use it as another friendly. However I need to get this formation spot on or I can see myself leaving the ACON very early.

Well my team found there form in this game thats for sure. Gave a debut to Alain Olle-Olle because he had been playing well domestically and this let me move Eto'o into the centre. Olle-Olle rewarded me by setting up a goal and having a stormer in general.

That victory leaves me with this group.

I expect nothing other than 9 points out of this group, especially as Togo can't rely on Adebayor.

Have to say it's been unspectacular, but he results have been there at least.

Good luck in that group, you shouldn't need it.

My two warm up games before the ACN. Montenegro actually have some really good players like Vucinic and Jovetic so I was happy to come back from behind against them. I also don't know what to make of the Bahamas match as I had over 60% of possession which is always good but only 4 shots on target out of 25. Anyway I have selected my team for the ACN and I have my first game against hosts Equatorial Guinea very soon. Still unsure whether to play Eto'o AML or AMC but we will see

Happy with the results other than the Libya one which I don't quite know what happened there. Anyway, our reward for finishing top of our group, Ivory Coast in the quarter finals. They came second in a group containing them and Nigeria.

With Players like Bassong, Mbia, Assou Ekotto and others I wouldn't expect to concede much. However, Eto'o and Tchoyi have both just been ruled out of the Ivory Coast game.

Wasn't too confident going into the tie anyway as Ivory Coast are arguably the strongest African team at the start of the game, with the added fact I was missing two key players in Tchoyi and Eto'o

Was happy enough with the performance but thought I was going to win it when I went 1-0 up and when they missed the first penalty. Oh well onwards and upwards as I look to qualify for the WC.

With players like doumbia on the BENCH they were very strong. Somehow Libya have got further than me :(

Breezed through with ease so far as expected. Might try out a few new players in the upcoming games.
