Do you mean the whole delete Fake.lnc debacle?

hasn't worked on my game which is f'ing annoying.

Didn't work on mine which is why I think its steam.

I think the whole game is installed in Steam/steamapps/common directory, so you should seek for the fake.lnc file there

I already tried it, prior to any patches.

dunno what you mean by "prior to any patches", but when you are using patched db, it used to be somewhere in updates folder.

Deleting all those worked for me but still can't manage Japan for some reason although all there players are showing up!

If I delete the correct files on my FM08 game will it take effect within a saved game or only when I start a new one?
