Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has picked up a handful of England caps in my game now and for the life of me, I cannot understand how he's even making the squads.

Happening on anyone else's games?

I played him in the Olympic team, he was pretty good.

I don't know who follows @SupportsFM_Joe , but you'd have seen that I started a West Ham save. Clearly taking them up in the first season was the objective and thankfully I acheived it. It was without doubt the closest run-in I've ever had in FM, have a look at the screenies on the Twitter timeline, both teams going into the final day with over 100 points each!

Signed some beasts for the Premiership as well, I'll post some more info when I get home but Sigurdsson <3

Done it last year at Chelmsford, £150 for the level 1 if you're not with a club, £125 if you're with a FA charted club & £75 if you're 16-19 or on jobseekers allowance.

It's well worth doing. I've got loads of courses I'm going to do before I do my Level 2. Not really fussed about a career in coaching, but you never know, if the right job came up I'd think about it.

Good luck Matt.

Our club takes a team there every other year, the year in between they invite clubs from Holland over, needless to say, their kids always play lovely football. Ours just try and kick the shit out of them. That's the problem with English youth football right there!

I read the Stam article you posted earlier, it's so massively true, you don't need to tackle. Maintain your position, let the opposition make the mistake and make sure you and your team mates are in positions to block any potential attack. I'm forever telling my CB's not to dive in or commit to a challenge. There's a little tactic I've used all season that has helped us so much; a lot of youth football sees the goalkeeper hoofing the ball as far as he can and letting a striker run on to the ball. What I get my lads to do as soon as the 'keeper has the ball in his hands or taking a goal kick is to get the centre mids to drop back at the last second to mark the attackers and let the CB's have a covering role. Not once have we conceded with a goal 'over the top' and it frustrates the hell out of the opposition because they don't change their tactics and get nothing from it.

One of the most clever tactical titbits I've been given was regarding throw-ins. As an attacker, how do you make space/time from a throw in when you are being marked tightly?

Simple, roll round the back of the defender and stand directly behind him, he'll do the same as to get goal side giving you a yard of space as he does so. You'd be surprised how easy it is to make space if you try this.

Does anyone on here actually coach at any level? Would be quite interesting to see.

I'm not doing coaching right now but slowly working my way in at Argyle and eventually want to do some coaching there but as I said I need to do my coaching badges soon because I'll get nowhere further without them.

I do.

I've just finished the league season with my U17's, after being promoted from the second division last season (2nd place) we've managed to bring a couple of Alliance players in and finish 2nd in the top division. We also made it to the final of the league cup, where we unfortunately lost 1-0. I'd say we didn't deserve to lose, but we lost, so we obviously did!

In my coaching, I'm a massive fan of ball only - no excessive fitness drills. I think you do better playing a compact 2 touch square than running drills, my opinion, but I see decent results.

As for my actual coaching, I'm doing my level 2 next season. I'm lucky at our club as we have a lot of interaction with the Chelsea Academy, they're a good bunch of lads and you always pick something up from them - one of my players Dads does a lot with West Ham Academy and he's been a real help getting me to where I want to be.

I'm also lucky enough to be taking a team of U14's to Holland in the June Bank Holiday weekend for a tournament out there. I can't wait, I love the way Dutch youth football has developed & I'm really hoping I pick a few things up when I go out there.
